VIDEO: Genesis and Modern Life

I recently had the pleasure of joining the World Upside Down podcast, hosted by the Indianapolis Theological Seminary, for a conversation about how the opening chapters of Genesis provide us with vital tools for navigating modern life.

In this episode, we discuss the themes of my book Thinking Through Creation, including the “creation mandate” and the concept of “diagonalization”, a method for breaking through the false dichotomies often presented by our culture. We also touch on how French philosophy has helped me to read Scripture (not in ways you might initially think), the subversive power of the Sabbath in a 24/7 world, and the equal dignity of all forms of work.

I hope you enjoy the discussion!
